US ROUTE 219 BE DESIGNATED SCENIC HIGHWAY
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Brant, Erie County, New York, held at the Brant Tow Hall, 1294 Brant North Collins Road, Brant, New York on the 11th day of June 2002 at 8:00 p.m. there were:
Present: Samuel J. Chiavetta, Jr. Supervisor
Dennis Rubeck Councilman
Martin Rosiek Councilman
Eugene Czyz, Sr. Councilman
Absent: Ellen Bowman Councilwoman
Councilman Czyz moved to adopt a resolution to support the efforts of the Town of Boston,
WHEREAS: The Town of Boston recently passed a resolution desiring that US Route 219 be declared a “scenic byway” and
WHEREAS: The Town of Brant, desires to support the efforts of the Town of Boston in preserving this natural beauty and is concerned that billboards and other signs may be a detriment of this “scenic byway”,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Brant herby goes on record of showing it’s support of the designation of US Route 219 in Erie County as a “scenic byway” and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk, with utmost speed be directed to forward certified copies of this Resolution to all New York State and Federal representatives whose districts include the County of Erie or the Town of Boston and to the Town of Boston in support of their resolution.
