As of January 1, 2023 the Town of Evans is now responsible for dog control matters in the Town of Brant.

This page has been added to assist in the licensing and regulations affecting you and your dog. The Town of Brant, as well as New York state require dog owners to license their dogs. Owner is defined in our Town Code Under article I, subsection 79-2 as being:
Includes any person who keeps, harbors or has custody, care or control of a dog . Dogs owned by minors shall be deemed to be in custody and control of parents or other head of the household where the minor resides. Any person harboring a dog for a period of one week shall be deemed to be the "owner" of the dog for purposes of enforcing this Article.
The Town of Brant annually appoints a Dog Control Officer be on call 24 hours a day to accept calls from residents regarding dog related issues.
