LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF BRANT ERIE COUNTY TAX 2006 NOTICE OF COLLECTION OF 2006 COUNTY AND TOWN TAX FOR THE TOWN OF BRANT, ERIE COUNTY, NEW YORK. TAKE NOTICE, I, Thea A. Ells, COLLECTOR OF TAXES of the Town of Brant, Erie County, New York on February 15, 2006 did duly receive the tax rolls and warrant for the collection of taxes for the present fiscal year of the County of Erie and Town of Brant. I will attend, for the purpose of receiving the taxes from all persons and corporations named therein, which are required to pay their taxes at the Brant Town Clerk?s Office, 1294 Brant North Collins Rd., Brant, New York in said Town till March 15, 2006. Such taxes may be paid till March 15, 2006 inclusive without fees or penalties. Penalties will be added after that date pursuant to chapter 812 of the Laws of 1942 as amended. All taxes paid on or after March 16, 2006 thru May 1st, 2006 inclusive, add 7.5%. If paid on and after May 2nd, 2006 the 7.5% penalty fee is added to the levy, forming the base of the tax due. Thereafter interest is added to the base at the rate of 1.5% per month on the 1st of each month. Unpaid taxes will be returned to the Erie County Commissioner of Finance on June 30, 2006. Bills may be paid by check, money order or draft through the mail or at the Brant Town Clerk?s Office from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, except Saturdays, Sundays. Payments in cash or certified check only after June 16th, 2006. Additional hours as follows: Monday March 13, Tuesday March 14, and Wednesday March 15 - 9:00AM till 7:00 p.m. Holidays which will be observed are as follows: Closed Monday February 20, 2006 in observance of President?s Day, and Friday April 14 in observance of Good Friday.
